Spicy Basil Chicken

I tried to copy the local Tai resturaunts recipe and this one is pretty good.

Ingredients

2 T

chili oil (I substutited olive oil, you can add hot later)

2 Cloves Garlic
3 Hot Chili peppers
1 lb skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into bite-size pieces
1½ tsp white sugar
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 bell pepper sliced into thin strips
5 T oyster sauce
1 C

fresh mushrooms

1 bunch

fresh basil leaves

3 green onions

Preparation

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat & cook garlic and chili peppers until golden brown
  2. Mix in chicken and sugar, and season with garlic salt and pepper
  3. Cook until chicken is no longer pink, but not done
  4. Stir oyster sauce & bell peppers into the skillet
  5. Mix in mushrooms, onions and continue cooking until onions are tender and chicken juices run clear.
  6. Remove from heat, mix in basil, let sit for 2 minutes before serving
